Planning Strategy 2023 is the first Planning Strategy for Municipality Qeqertalik since the municipal division. With the strategy, the Municipal Council presents its political visions, Values and areas of focus.
The Planning Strategy 2023 determines how the Municipal Plan 2018-2030, Municipality Qeqertalik's, will be revised.
The goal is a new Municipal Plan Qeqertalik 2025-2037.
The Municipal Council conducted a consultation among all the citizens of the municipality in 2023. It was important for the Municipal Council to conduct a process where transparency and participation from the citizens are of crucial importance to the Municipal Council.
During the consultation period, 12 consultation responses were received, as well as a minority statement from the Siumut party. All consultation responses and statements have been assessed in relation to the vision, values and the submitted proposals for Strategic Priority Areas. The minority statement from the Siumut party has resulted in the Planning Strategy 2023 now comprising 14 Strategic Priority Areas.
