Who allocates land allocation?

§ 3 Area competence

3.1 The Municipal Council has all land jurisdiction within all towns, settlements and open land in the municipality. When allocating land, the right of use is granted for a specific use of a more specifically defined area.

In connection with areas in the open countryside, special conditions apply to consultations, which are set out in the special provisions.

3.2 However, the Greenland Government may grant permission for Land Use pursuant to construction laws and national planning directives, cf. Section 38(4) of the Planning Act. Furthermore, the Greenland Government may grant land allocations for activities pursuant to the Mineral Resources Act, cf. Section 87(2).
